Measuring Movement within Cultural Heritage: An Innovation Workshop on Physical Education Assessment through Traditional Games at MTs SA An-Nur Bogor

Physical education learning requires assessment practices that can capture students’ movement abilities as well as their participation and behavior during physical activities. This community service activity aimed to introduce an innovative approach to PJOK assessment through traditional games at MTs SA An-Nur Bogor. The activity was implemented through six stages: socialization and opening, theoretical material delivery, introduction and training in traditional games, application of learning assessment, evaluation and reflection, and preparation of an assessment guide and documentation. The activities involved teachers and students in direct learning experiences using traditional games such as gobak sodor, bentengan, and engklek. Assessment was conducted through direct observation of movement skills, participation, cooperation, communication, strategy, discipline, and sportsmanship during gameplay. The activity showed that traditional games provided teachers with opportunities to observe students’ abilities in more authentic game situations while encouraging active participation and social interaction among students. The activities also introduced students to traditional games as part of local cultural practices. The integration of traditional games into PJOK assessment therefore provided an approach that connected movement assessment with students’ social and cultural experiences.

the Table Tennis Introduction Socialization to Improve Student Knowledge at MTs Al-Falah

This Community Service Program aims to improve the knowledge of students at MTs Al-Falah about table tennis as a sport that supports physical fitness, motor skill development, and the formation of sportsmanship character. The background of this activity is based on the still limited understanding of students regarding the history, basic rules, basic techniques, and benefits of table tennis in daily life. The implementation method includes a preparation stage, socialization through material delivery, demonstration of basic techniques (grip, stance, footwork, service, forehand, and backhand), direct group practice, and evaluation using discussion and question-and-answer sessions. The activity was attended by MTs Al-Falah students using an interactive and participatory learning approach so that participants gained learning experience both theoretically and practically. The results showed an increase in students’ knowledge from an average of 61.8% to 89.2%, an increase of 27.4%. In addition, 91% of participants stated that they were very interested in learning table tennis further. Thus, this socialization activity provides a positive contribution to introducing table tennis in the school environment while supporting the development of an active and healthy lifestyle culture for MTs Al-Falah students.

the Sosialisasi Penguatan Manajemen Klub Renang bagi Pengurus dan Pelatih di Dolphin Swimming Academy

Manajemen klub olahraga yang baik merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam mendukung keberlangsungan pembinaan atlet dan peningkatan kualitas organisasi. Namun, masih banyak klub renang yang menghadapi kendala dalam pengelolaan administrasi, perencanaan program latihan, pembagian tugas organisasi, serta evaluasi kinerja kepelatihan. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kompetensi pengurus serta pelatih dalam menerapkan prinsip-prinsip manajemen klub renang yang efektif di Dolphin Swimming Academy. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, studi kasus, dan evaluasi melalui pemberian umpan balik kepada peserta. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup manajemen organisasi klub, perencanaan program pembinaan atlet, pengelolaan administrasi, kepemimpinan, komunikasi organisasi, serta strategi peningkatan kualitas pelayanan kepada atlet dan orang tua. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai tata kelola klub renang yang profesional serta pentingnya sinergi antara pengurus dan pelatih dalam mendukung proses pembinaan atlet secara berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam memperkuat kapasitas kelembagaan Dolphin Swimming Academy sehingga mampu menghasilkan sistem pembinaan yang lebih efektif, efisien, dan berorientasi pada prestasi.
